Suzuki GSXR 750 L or M

A few years ago, I used to have a Suzuki GSXR 750 M, arguably the finest ever GSXR 750 ever made. When I say a few years ago, I mean in 1996 so 12 years and a lot of injuries ago!!

On mad Sunday in 1996, but sadly not in the IOM, I was out riding my bike and happened upon a dog who had ran out in front of the road. Without going into the details too much, a couple of years in and out of hospital later I was able to walk again.

Now at the time, my GSXR was my baby, I was 21 years old, and borrowed a pile of cash to buy it. My bike insurance was a killer, I think around £1500 as I (unfairly) had 6 points on my licence. However, the financial pain was worth every penny 'cos when I started it up and nailed it around the first corner, it was beyond comprehensible enjoyment!.

My limited riding skill at the time probably contributed to my crash but hey, who doesnt ride like a moron when they are young?

Anyway, Ive been looking on Fleabay and Bike Trader for another GSXR 750 L or M, cos I want to relive the thrill that I used to get riding this bike. All I can find is tat and I dont want tat.

What Im looking for is a totally pristine and standard example thats got low mileage, everything original and has been cherished like a baby. If you have one, or if you know anyone who has one that they will let go then please get in touch via here and I will give you a shout. If I was being picky, Id prefer blue and white but I wont whinge too much is a red and white one comes up.

Thanks and hope to hear from you....

Yamaha RD 500

So then, now Ive got what I think must be the best example of a KR1-S in the country, Im on the lookout for the next model to add to my collection of nostalgic bikes.

This time Im looking for a totally standard and mint Yamaha RD 500. Age is immaterial but ideally mileage should be as low as possible, as few owners as possible, as much histtory as possible and most importantly, I only want an uncrashed, undamed example.

If you know anyone who has such a bike that they might let go, then please do get in touch via this forum and I will give you a shout.

The Yamaha RD 500 is to me, one of the best bikes that was ever made and to get hold of a proper example of this bike would take me back to my childhood dreams and let me live them all over again. So come on, hope you can help me out!!!

Thanks,

Dan
