2010 World Superbike Championship – Part Two

In our last article we covered three of the teams that were competing in the World Superbike Championship series for the 2010 season. There are four other teams that are racing in the 2010 WSB Championship 2010, here is brief overview of the other four teams.

Motorcycle insurance from The Bike Insurer

Aprilia, like their competitor Suzuki have two riders on the Aprilia team for 2010, Max Biaggi, from Italy, and Leon Camier from Britain. Aprilia is a respected name with in the motorcycle racing industry, but lack experience in the Superbike class, having been a part of only seven championships and winning no manufacturer awards.

BMW brings four riders to the 2010 World Superbike Championship, riders Troy Corser and Andrew Pitt from the ‘Land Down Under’(Australia), Roland Resch who hails from Austria, and Ruben Xaus from Spain. Team Alpha BMW is the latest manufacturer to come the championship, having competed in only one other championship in 2009, and like Aprilia have never won a manufacturers championship.

Yamaha has two racers in the championship, Cal Crutchlow and James Toseland, both of these riders come from the United Kingdom. Yamaha is hoping to replicate 2007, the year that they won their one and only manufacturers championship series.

Kawasaki, in a similar fashion to Honda has four riders in the championship. Riding for Kawasaki during the 2010 World Superbike season are Tom Sykes, Matteo Baiocco, Chris Vermeulen, and Roger Hayden.
