Hayden’s recovery has been fantastic and, since breaking his scapula two weeks ago, his sling is now off. Hayden missed the Valencia test but is adamant that he will not miss another- he aims to be ready for testing in Malaysia.
The team faced many difficulties during the 2011 season, but Hayden remains positive. As regards his personal goals this season, Hayden has high hopes yet cannot run from the fact that he, like Rossi, is no longer amongst the youngest riders on the grid.
Hayden: “2011 didn’t go quite as we hoped; we tried everything, but never got the results we deserved…Regardless, we learned a lot and this year the goal is to…be more consistent in every race.”
“It’s a big year for me- my first year back on 1000cc bikes, with new rules and new bikes…in some ways there is a lot of pressure but I’m looking forward to this season.”
