Twenty-four year old South African rider, Allann Jon Vente is getting ready to make his Isle of Man TT debut when he heads to the Mountain Course this year. He will contest the iconic event for Mick Charnock’s TC Racing Honda/DP Coldplaning team onboard a 1000cc Honda in the Superbike, Royal London 360 Superstock and Senior Races.
So far in his career, Vente has experienced the most success in 2009, when he finished 15th overall in the Supersport class, with six top-ten finishes. In 2012-11 he finished in an impressive 11th place in the 600cc category, defeating riders including Sam Lowes and Dan Linfoot. Speaking of his debut at the Mountain Course, Vente was understandably thrilled;
‘I first came out to the Isle of Man in 2007 ad met Johnny Barton, which gave me an idea of what I’m taking on. I’m under no illusions about the task but I can’t wait to make my Mountain Course debut.’
