From the Ducati Monster line of motorcycles comes an exciting, new addition to the Monster family, the Monster 796. This new Monster cycle from Ducati takes the user-friendliness of the 696 and joins it with the sportiness of the 1100 to provide a new Monster to the Ducati motorcycle offerings.

Packing 87 horses, weighing in at a dry weight of only 167kg, and coming with the option of ASB, these exciting features of the new Monster 796 brings back the magic of mid-range to Ducati’s Monster bikes. Additionally, for the rider’s comfort, the Monster standard seating features include micro-bikini fairing, single seat cover and an ergonomic designed seat shaped for a comfortable riding experience.
Tim Maccabee of Ducati, commented that the launch of the new Monster 796 was a welcome addition to Ducati’s Monster line of motorcycles and that the 796 was a great motorcycle for those who were upgrading from a first bike 600 or for those who want to switch from a Sports 600, but desire to keep some style and have some motorcycle with a healthy-degree of performance.
The Ducati Monster 796 was released as an early entry model for next year, and is going to be available in the United Kingdom starting in May of 2010 for a price of £6,995, the ABS version of the 796 is priced at £7,695.
