Bad weather halts Repsol Honda test

Tuesday, November 13 2012

Dani Pedrosa and new recruit, Marc Marquez (pictured) were prevented from taking part in their first MotoGP test for the 2013 season today when rain in Valencia made taking to the track impossible.

There had been a lot of excitement leading into today, especially because Marc had his first opportunity to get to grips with his new bike, but with incessant rain causing trouble, neither Marc or Dani took a chance on the track. Marc said;

‘I have this fantastic bike here but unfortunately the weather isn’t very good! It’s better to be patient and wait as it’s important to test the bike in the best conditions possible. I spent some time with the team this morning and I learnt many things…I know the power will be very different and also the electronic controls, also the carbon brakes and tyres will be something I need to adapt to, but step by step we will learn. I just hope the weather will improve tomorrow!’

If the weather permits, the duo will commence their testing tomorrow and Marc will get his chance to get a feel for the bike!
