Bradl recovering from surgery

Moto2 World Champion, Stefan Bradl, is home in Germany beginning his recovery following surgery to his left foot yesterday to remove a plate and six screws.

The successful operation removed a plate which had been inserted after an injury sustained whilst training in 2010.

The German rider, while still too sore to stand after yesterday’s procedure, expects in a few days time that it will be enough improved to bear weight on the foot.

The 21 year old is looking forward to begin training again, hopefully within two to three weeks. Aside from a short holiday, Bradl plans to spend his winter break preparing for the 2012 season, which will see him embark upon a new challenge in the MotoGP class- aboard the LCR Honda.
