Carlo Checa fastest on final day of World Superbike test

The second and final day of World Superbike testing has taken place today at Phillip Island, with Carlos Checa thundering to the top of the timesheets with an impressive lap time of 1’31.059. The Alstare Ducati rider showed both the bike and the track off to their true potential, setting the precedent for his competition on the drying circuit.

Second to fifth place riders, Melandri, Sykes, Fabrizio and Rea all came within three tenths of a second of each other, with the rest of the top eleven riders crossing the line within one second. For the top ten riders and their times, read on….
