World Supersport champion, Chaz Davies, has been honoured with the title of ‘BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year 2011’during a presentation ceremony at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea. The award winner is decided by public vote.
A former 125 and 250GP rider, Davies is only the second Brit to win the World Supersport title, following Englishman Cal Crutchlow back in 2009.
Davies won the ‘BBC Wales Young Sportsman of the Year 2005’ and for the 2012 season will be graduating with the ParkinGO team to the World Superbike Championship, switching from Yamaha to Aprilia machinery.
