Clarke and RM-Z250 Make an Impressive Showing in Liverpool
January 25, 2010-Steven Clarke, an AMA Supercross racer born in Britain showed up at the third round of the British Supercross Championship that was held in Liverpool at the Echo Arena. Clarke joined the MVR-D Suzuki team for this round of the Championship.

Clarke took some time off from his training for the East Coast AMA Supercross Lites Championship and displayed how his training had paid off, as he qualified for the British Open main event on the Suzuki RM-Z250. Clarke also had an easy time beating the current championship leader Gordon Crockard.
Clarke qualified for the SX1 and SX2 classes that night as well, taking a number two spot in the SX2 class, before he went on to push Heath Voss, the former SX champion in the finals of the SX1. Clarke pushed Voss until a little spill put him at third place at the finish.
Clarke extended thanks to the MVR-Suzuki team for giving him the chance to ride and enjoy the new RM-Z250. Clarke stated that this was his first race since he suffered an injury at the end of last year, and that it was very positive to win in the British open and to have qualified in the Internationals.
Sunday night, Clarke caught a flight back to America to continue preparing for the AMA Championship, but came back to the United Kingdom to race with the Suzuki team on Friday in London for the last round of the year.
