Rain has today affected the timed section of the course, as a result of the adverse effects of heavy downpours the finish line was moved back to 186km rather than the original 265km mark.
Coma and Despres were so eager they rode past the first check-point and had to double back from several kilometres away. In the end, Despres came in to CP1 58 seconds ahead of Coma with a time of 1:45’56”. The race continues…
