May 15th will see the Doodson Motorsport Hare & Hounds Championship move to the Lancashire Hills for round 4 of the Championship
The awesome Lee Dell near Rochdale (Sat Nav Postcode OL11 5UN) will be the host for what promises to be the best track yet around the hill top venue. With the full loop being used, a lap time of around 15 – 18 minutes should be the order of the day. Using the rolling hills and valleys, stone tracks and small woodland sections, all linked together using the old MX track and the fast open going, will make the perfect Hare & Hounds Enduro.
The weekend starts on Saturday with a structured training session running in the afternoon for 10 lucky riders. Sunday morning at 8.30am will see the youth classes running for a one hour event. At 10am prompt the Sportsman, Beginners, Ladies and Over50 vets will be on track for 2 hours. After the usual break for lunch and track alterations, it will be the turn of the Expert, Over40 and Clubman competitors to do battle around the open going track for a full two and a half hours.
Camping available, non members welcome, all riders are advised to pre book in, after a record number of entrants in the first three rounds, we will soon see a maximum entry limit being placed on the morning event to ensure riders get quality track time.
