The inaugural Classic TT Races of 2013 are guaranteed to be memorable, with an all-star line-up already having signed on the dotted line to take part. Well now, organisers have added a schedule of entertainment to run alongside the Racing programme, which is set to be just as memorable as the races themselves!
The Classic TT Races kick off on Friday 23rd August, with the Classic TT Paddock Carnival. The Carnival will be jam- packed with displays from the Vintage Motorcycle Club, the Manx Classic Car Club and collections from the Yamaha Classic Racing Team, Team Classic Suzuki and many more! There will even be chances to see some of your favourite riders in live chat show appearances and autograph signings, along with historic race footage and live sixties music! It goes without saying that you can enjoy trips around the catering village and beer tent, as well as buying a few souvenirs from the retail tent!
For a real trip down memory lane, the ’67 Senior Race, which became a two-day battle between Mike Hailwood and Giacomo Agostini, will be recreated in a parade lap on Saturday 25th August. Mike will be represented by 19-time TT Champion, John McGuinness, onboard a replica of Mike’s Honda RC181, while Giacomo Agostini will be appearing on his famous 500cc MV Agusta.
The Vintage Motorcycle Club will be taking part, with a closed road parade lap on Saturday 24th August just before the 500cc Classic TT Race, and on Monday 26th August, the Classic TT Lap of Honour takes place, with some of the greatest names in racing history lining up to take part, including Giacomo Agostini, Phil Read MBE, Mick Grant, Philip McCallen and Dave Molyneux to name but a few!
