Speaking of the track, Laverty commented that he thought the new Silverstone track was a good track and that he liked it. He stated that the weather for trying the track out was tricky in the morning, but as he learned the track and it dried he began to enjoy it. Laverty also pointed out that the last two sessions were great as the track dried and many of the racers left, leaving us a clear track to do our thing.
Laverty also commented that the new Arena section at Silverstone is great, as it sweeps from one side of the circuit to the other, providing a great place for the spectators to watch. He concluded that it had been a long lap but that they had found a gearing that will be close and that now he knew his way around, it has been a good day.
The team manager of Parkalgar Honda, Simon Buckmaster expressed thanks to Focused Events for what turned out to be an excellent day at the track, and remarked that Miguel Praia was unable to be with them for the test day at the track but that they were considering a second test day so that he may have the opportunity to learn the track, a track that is very impressive and that any steps that we can take to assist our racers performance we will take.
Parkalgar Honda will be racing again at Misano in Italy, on June 27 in the 8th round of the series.
