The Fixi Crescent Suzuki team is eager to get going in the first round of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship this Friday, after a positive round of testing last week saw Leon Camier topping the timesheets twice.
Camier put in a dazzling performance over the four days, which culminated in the team understanding more about their machines. The time also provided Leon with some excellent chances to get used to his bike on the Australian track. His teammate, rookie Jules Cluzel, also proved he’s not frightened when it comes to attempting some real speed, and despite a crash last week which required a small operation on his elbow, he’s now race-fit and ready to go.
Situated in Victoria, Phillip Island is one of the world’s fastest tracks and is home to some beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. This, combined with the circuit’s series of twists and turns, and an ultra-fast straight makes for an unmissable event.
Fixi Crescent Suzuki will be taking part in free practise on Friday morning, with qualifying later that afternoon. Race One begins at 12:00 local time, with Race Two at 15:30.
