The Hannspree Ten Kate Honda racing team just finished a two-day round of tests at Assen as they are preparing to take it the tracks in eighth round races that will be held in Misano, located in Italy. The four man squad, consisting of both the World Superbike riders and World Supersport riders were all present at the two days of testing in Holland.

This was the first time that the team had been back out on the track since the seventh round 2010 competition that took place at Miller Motorsports Park, which is located in close proximity to Salt Lake City, across the Atlantic in the United States. The event at Miller Motorsports Park was held in the last part of May.
Jonathan Rea, who has almost experienced a full recovery from the terrible tyre burns that he received in a wreck during qualifying at Miller Motorsports, was back up to speed at the Assen circuit, a circuit where he enjoyed success by attaining his first World Superbike pole position and by winning duel races back in April.
Max Neukirchner enjoyed the non-stressful environment at Assen, as it provided an avenue to try to get rid of the chatter problems that have been a thorn in his side in recent weeks.
Other members of the Ten Kate Honda racing squad, Kenan Sofuoglu and Michele Pirro used the testing at Assen to try out a new electronics system on their CBR600RR bikes.
