Silverstone in Buckinghamshire will play host to the British Superbike Championship this weekend for the second last round of the BSB season. Tommy Hill of Worx Crescent Suzuki will be coming into the round leading the British Superbike Championship by 16 points. A good performance at Silverstone by Hill will put the Suzuki racer in a good position going into the final round at Oulton Park that will be held in a further fortnight’s time.

Even though Hill has two wins and came in second in the previous two rounds, he knows that complacency is not an option for the Silverstone round. He is not expecting any easy races between now and the season end, especially since Silverstone will be Hill’s first time on the new GP circuit.
On commenting on the new circuit, Hill said that the circuit was completely different from most other British tracks. Hill pointed out that where Croft was a typical track, bumpy and narrow, Silverstone was bumpy but was approximately four times as wide and was over a mile and a half longer. Hill stated that this requires a whole new set of skills for rider and machine as well. Last week was Hill’s first time on the circuit, whereas some of his rivals had the opportunity to race on the circuit earlier on in the season. However, Hill said that the test was all positive.
