Both Josh and Kiyo are each looking to maintain the HM Plant Honda’s teams impressive form that they have shown so far against the World Superbike contenders. They are also wanting to utilize the Silverstone round of the World Superbike Championship as a way to gauge their performance against those who race in the world championship class. The two HM Plant Honda riders are currently in second and third place in the overall standings of the British Superbike Championship and following the results of the Snetterton British Superbike round they are ready now to take on the challenge of the two World Superbike races at the new Silverstone arena.
The last time that the team entered the World Superbike Championship was back in 2008 at Donington Park and in Portimao; where the team had front row starts in both rounds, with Cal Crutchlow taking a second place finish at the Donington Park race and Leon Haslam placing third at the race that was held in Portimao.
