The vehicles that Iveco will provide will be used to haul materials, equipment, people during the course of the racing season, which started in Qatar on April the 11th and will entail 14 countries. As well as giving Iveco an advertising platform for the next two years, Iveco will be seen as the title sponsor of the contest at Australia’s Philip Island circuit. The contest is being promoted as the ‘Iveco Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2010′.

Iveco’s relationship with Moto GP World Championship racing is part of its larger communications scheme and signals the further developing of a sports sponsorship initiative, which on an increasing level has joined Iveco to some of the most well known sporting teams on the planet, which includes New Zealand’s All Blacks and the Ferrari Formula 1 team.

Moto GP has been growing more popular on an international level since they started broadcasting the races on television. In 2009, the event was broadcast in 207 countries across five continents, having an average viewership of 28 million for each event.
