Iveco Official Sponsor of the Yamaha Racing Team

The 2010 Moto GP Championship will soon be coming to the United Kingdom; on June 20, the British Grand Prix will be held at Silverstone. One of the teams that usually participate in the spectacular event is the Fiat Yamaha Moto GP team, which has for its official sponsor, Iveco. However, the Fiat Yamaha team will have to sit out the event at Silverstone this year due to an injury sustained by their legendary racer, Valentino Rossi, who was injured at Mugello.

Iveco was announced earlier in the year as the official sponsor of the Fiat Yamaha team, after two seasons as a premium provider to the award winning racing team. This sponsorship agreement between Iveco and Fiat Yamaha is a two year agreement and will provide great exposure for the Iveco brand around the globe. The sponsorship includes an additional four of the Iveco Stralis Active Space Super trucks to be added to the trucks that have been utilized in the previous two seasons, and also the provision of the most recent EcoDaily light commercial. This new fleet is utilized by the team to haul the racing team’s bikes and their pit equipment to the different Moto GP racing events.

Iveco sponsorship of Fiat Yamaha increases the development of Iveco’s sports-centred sponsoring strategy that has linked Iveco to some of the most well-known sporting teams in the world, which includes New Zealand’s All Blacks and Scuderia Ferrari.

As Fiat Yamaha sits out the race at Silverstone, there may the naming of a replacement rider for injured Valentino Rossi at the event.
