According to Factory Aprilia’s World Superbike star, Eugene Laverty, 2013 is going to be an integral year when it comes to doing well in the sport and that if riders want to be recognised in the future they will have to perform for the 2013 season.
MotoGP bosses have recently been handed the World Superbike reins and though rules won’t be altered outside of those already mentioned by the FIM, Laverty says he believes it won’t be long before the best riders will be taken to the top, with the rest left behind. He said;
‘Next year is a very important one for both World Superbike and MotoGP riders as 2014 could see the strongest riders positioned in the top class and the rest left behind. Never has there been a more important time to shine.’
