Line up for Suzuka 8-hour race confirmed!

Tuesday, July 10 2012

The line-up for the 2012 Suzuka 8-hour race has been confirmed and it’s a good one! The three riders ready to take on the challenge have been named as John McGuinness, Cameron Donald and stand-in Jason O’Halloran (pictured) who has been drafted in after Simon Andrews was forced to pull out due to an injury he sustained at the Isle of Man TT.

O’Halloran is no novice to the event, having put in an impressive performance as a stand-in rider for the Honda TT Legends at Doha in June, where he played his part in helping the team achieve their first ever podium finish in the World Endurance Championship. Speaking of his selection, O’Halloran said was honoured to have been chosen;

‘It was such an honour to race at Qatar so I’m excited and flattered to be asked to join the team in Japan. I did the Suzuka 8-hour in 2008 and really enjoyed the experience so I’m definitely looking forward to doing it for a second time.’
