With not even 48 hours elapsed after the conclusion of the 2010 MotoGP season, there are already preparations being made for the 2011. On Tuesday at Valencia, the first two days of testing for the 2011 Official MotoGP got underway.

The racer that was in the top place on the timesheet was the same one who was on the podium on Sunday, factory Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo. 2010 MotoGP Jorge Lorenzo was the leader amongst a 17-strong field of racers, Lorenzo had a best time of 1’32.012 over 48 lap span of Motorcycle action as he rocked around the track on his M1 motorcycle, Lorenzo’s time was only a little over two-tenths of a second away from Casey Stoner’s pole position time that he achieved over the weekend.
Stoner was on his factory Respol Honda for the first time, as the debutant racer made the second fastest time of the day with a time that was o 0.763 more than Lorenzo’s time. Stoner was only a tenth away from his own FP3 time that he made over the weekend.
As Stoner was piloting the Honda around the track he was comparing the 2011 chassis of his bike against his team mate Dani Pedrosa’s 2010 chassis on his bike. Pedrosa was only a 0.1s behind Stoner as he fell in the fourth position.
