Lorenzo uncertain about future

Despite winning the MotoGP title this year, Jorge Lorenzo says he is uncertain as to where his future will take him, beyond his next two years with Yamaha. The Spanish rider turned down an offer from Honda to fill the seat left vacant by retired Casey Stoner, instead choosing to stick with his title-winning team, but it seems that beyond 2014, he’s pretty undecided.

He did say that the death of Marco Simoncelli in 2011 was a wake up call to all riders as to the dangers of racing, but that everybody who takes part is aware that ‘risk is part of the sport.’ Wherever he ends up in the future though, he stressed that his enthusiasm for the 2013 season will be as strong as ever and that he’s looking forward to teaming up with Valentino Rossi once again, ‘It’s good for Yamaha, Valentino and me because it will push me to go faster.’
