Czech rider, Lukas Pedek has taken the twenty-fourth and final MotoGP position for the 2013 season, by signing up with Ioda Racing. Pesek will ride the team’s Suter-BMW alongside Danilo Petruzzi.
Most recently, Pedek has taken part in the German Superbike and Supersport categories after leaving Moto2 action in 2010. His best season to date was in 2007 when he took part in the 125cc championship, taking six podiums and two wins with Derbi. Speaking of his new appointment, Pedek said;
‘Racing in MotoGP is definitely not an easy task, I’ll be up against the best riders in the world. It’s a big step for sure, but I’ll give it my best.’
