More changes to World Superbikes for 2014?

Monday, January 7 2013

It seems that more changes are on the cards when it comes to the World Superbike Championship for 2014, with Dorna allegedly planning to get rid of the European Superstock classes and instead reducing the competition to just two support classes.

If the supposed changes go ahead, there will be no need for the 1000cc or 600cc classes. Instead, there will be a 250cc four-stroke event which will run alongside World Supersport. It seems that Dorna is hoping that a showroom-based paddock will strengthen relationships will manufacturers. Only time will tell whether the changes will take place, so watch  this space!
