In 2009, the MotoCzysz E1pc electric motorbike made quite an impression at the first TT Zero race and gained acceptance as having the same degree of integration as a traditional racing motorcycle. The MotoCzysz team’s Isle of Man performance in 2009 is documented in a documentary. The documentary is titled ‘Charge’ and was done by director Mark Neale; the film is scheduled to be shown in cinemas in the summer of 2010.

Michael Czysz is the founder of MotoCzysz, a clean emission motorcycle team that is known for creating a bike that truly has a clean sheet, the C1990 racing bike. The team was going to compete with their conventional racing motorcycle in the Moto GP championship race, but a change of rules made the bike ineligible for the race.

The 2010 electric bike from the team is thought to have received major improvements from their 2009 version. MotoCzysz is believed to be one of the strongest contenders for the £10,000 in winnings that is to be given to the first team to have a 100 mph average lap on the 37.25-mile course by an electric bike. The prize money will be awarded by the Isle of Man government.
