Motorbike riders fuel protest
For most riders, biking isn’t just a means of transport or a way of getting to work of a morning, it’s so much more. Biking is a means of enjoyment, it’s a hobby, a way of getting away from daily hustle and bustle…..biking is a passion!
Therefore, not only do rising fuel costs effect bikers commuting to and from work but the extortionate costs are now forcing riders to think twice before putting on their helmets and enjying their bikes in their spare time as they once could. Fuel costs are now thought to be the second biggest cost to bikers behind their motorcycle insurance.
The protest is expected to jam traffic on both motorways and major routes into the city centre during rush-hour.
Other road users are warned to expect delays on the M60 and the M62, as well as on major routes into Manchester and Salford.
The protest bikers are due to meet at Birch services on the M62 near Middleton before starting their way at 8am. They will head down the motorway to Salford Quays, but some of the riders will head down major roads into Manchester.
Are any of you guys joining this worth while protest????
