Dainese revealed its new clothing collection for 2012 at EICMA in Milan last week. Amongst the fantastically wide ranging collection of leather suits, jackets, boots, gloves (not forgetting the D-air Street project) an innovative new helmet was launched.
The DA 530 is predominately a touring helmet, but is choc full of great features, nothing less than one would expect from the Italian brand. The shell is composite fibre, which gives a resistant yet lightweight structure. Sufficient ventilation is provided by vents on top and back of the helmet, as well as a tilting vent on the chin area. The vents atop the helmet are entirely adjustable, and allow maximum airflow to the head. Dainese has created a new visor mechanism that provides a wider vision range, and has an operating system which can even be utilised whilst wearing gloves. The visor and internal sunshield are fully anti-scratch and have both been treated with an anti-fog coating for increased functionality.
To ensure a comfortable fit, the helmet comes with 3D concave liners, which can be moulded to shape and allow adjustment when the surface is in direct contact with the head. The helmet is fully compatible with the Dainese Bluetooth system, D-Phono, which can be purchased separately.
Other features of the DA 530 include: Double D-ring fastening, removable nose guard, removable windbreak and a bag to store helmet safely away when not in use.
Available in two shell sizes, the weight of the small shell size is 1.450g and the large 1.530g.
Available in various colours and sizes XXS – XL the DA 530 is priced at £299.99.
