On September 13th, BikeSafe will be launching its renewed website, bikesafe.co.uk that will offer users a more interactive experience providing streamlined booking services. Additionally and most importantly, the new refreshed website will assist in monitoring the links connecting people who have attended a BikeSafe workshop and any training that they may receive after their test.

Through Bikesafe’s new, refreshed website and administration facility, those who have partook of a BikeSafe workshop and who do mot mind divulging their information can be monitored to track their training activity following their test and to track riding behaviour or attitude shifts. This tracking of the bikers can help in future safety programmes for bikers.

BikeSafe is intent on ‘Bridging the Gap’ between a rider passing a motorcycle test and going further with accredited training after passing the motorcycle test. The scheme is administered by the police to reduce motorcycle casualties by interacting with bikers to think about what is causing motorcycle collisions and how an attitude can affect the risk level.

As reducing motorcycle related casualties continue to be BikeSafe’s main goal, BikeSafe will be measuring their success by the number of bikers that can be persuaded to take accredited training after the motorcycle test. Many people believe that the more training, both on attitude and on the technical aspect of motorcycling will result in safer bikers.
