For its continued dedication to producing perfect performance, Öhlins has established quite a reputation in the racing world, and now we can all benefit from fantastic Öhlins suspension thanks to its new Hypersport product range. Ohlins products are famous the world over, with every MotoGP rider and most of the World Superbike contestants choosing Öhlins products- the yellow spring is a common site on race tracks all over the World. This determination to succeed drives the development of new products which soon filter down to Öhlins’ customers.
Öhlins’ Hypersport products can all trace their history back to World Series racing, but now thanks to the extensive work done by the technicians they are now available for anyone to buy. For example the TTX36 MKII shock absorber which is based on technology developed through their racing efforts in MotoGP and World Superbike- and it’s been updated for 2012. The TTX36 MkII features an integrated hydraulic preload adjuster and their Twin Tube technology with inner and outer cylinders (reinforced for improved dynamics and performance). Re-designed adjustors offer more accurate damping than ever before and the whole shock absorber has been quality approved by the experts at Öhlins in Sweden.
Predecessor to the MKII, the TTX36 has, through unrivalled success, already established itself as the World’s premium shock absorber. It is now fitted to a whole range of road bikes from leading ranges as standard, including the Triumph Daytona 675R, Ducati 1198SP and Aprilia RSV4R Factory and it is available for all major hypersport models. The MkII looks destined to continue this and is sure to gain such popularity.
In addition to the MkII shock absorber, the Hypersport Range incorporates a wide variety of modifications, including new cartridge kits and replacement forks designed for track and/ or road use. To top off the range, the new FGRT 200 road and track forks. With the widely successful Road and Track forks used as a base, the technicians have improved them further by adding a race winning 30mm cartridge kit to the inside. With the adjustment of compression and rebound split between the fork legs, these internal improvements give the forks unrivalled performance in any situation. Available on a range of Hypersport bikes, the FGRT 200s also have a redesigned outer- making them all the more appealing.
The TTX25 cartridge kit, based on the high level race kits designed by the Race Department come with every ounce of precision and quality you’d expect from Öhlins products. The sophisticated kit showcases the very latest in twin tube technology (TTX) and is pressurised to deliver the ultimate in damping performance. Designed only for high end race use, the 25mm kit splits compression damping on the left fork leg and rebound damping on the right leg to offer the ultimate in fine damping control and precision, a product which is trusted by the racing elite.
Designed for road and track use, the Öhlins NIX30 30mm cartridge kit has been tested and developed in World Supersport and Superstock racing but is now available for all major Hypersport models. The kit is easy to install- fitting inside the original forks of most modern sports bikes and features: external compression, rebound and spring preload adjustors with compression and rebound split between the fork legs for improved damping performance. As with all Öhlins products, a huge range of spring rates is available to fit the NIX30 kit.
