The second day of testing for the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team saw good progress made by riders Cal Crutchlow and Bradley Smith, who battled through humid conditions to focus on testing their electronics,controls and those all-important controls.
Cal was the first rider on track and needed just seven laps to improve on his pace from the previous day. He worked on a range of settings to help him get his corner entry in good order. On the day, Cal managed a personal best of 2.01.311 and an impressive fifth position overall.
Bradley Smith enters into his rookie session of MotoGP, but is already showing consistent speed on track. After a two year spell in Moto2, Smith is gaining valuable experience on the Yamaha YZR-M1 in the premier class. The second day saw the 22 year old rider managing to cut a huge 1.5 seconds off his time, taking him into eighth position overall, with a best time of 2.01.931.
Testing continues tomorrow.
