A similar idea from 2011′s Tank Sliders, the Tail Sliders are constructed from light and strong carbon and Kevlar materials and are precision moulded to fit tight to the seat unit at the point where the seat makes contact with the ground. Brand new for 2013 is the MX8 range of helmets, available in carbon or pure glass. Both versions include fibre shells, full air systems and removable interiors and linings. The bike, introduced at last year’s Motorcycle Live at the NEC, is based on WK Bikes’ fast-selling 650i, and is all set for action in 2013′s national mini-twins series and the TT in June.

In terms of spec, the 650TR comes complete with touring bodywork and integrated panniers. It retails at £5199 plus OTR charges. If you’re interested in a test-ride, first deliveries of the 650TR are available mid-April, when the test machine heads to dealerships.

Brand new from the ground up, both models have a 110hp Ducati 821cc Testastretta engine in a trellis frame, complete with  state of the art chassis components, and both the Hypermotard and Hypermotard SP use sleek styling to ensure they keep their renowned dirtbike look, but never compromise on the ergonomics.

Ducati’s Safety Pack contains the latest generation, three-level ABS and eight-level Ducati Traction Control integrated with Ride by Wire engine maps to provide Ducati’s Riding Modes at the touch of a button.

The bikes will be available to buy from March onwards and will join Ducati’s 2013 range which includes the Multistrada, Diavel, 848 and 1199 Panigale families.

The 1190 Adventure features 19-inch front tyres and 17-inch rear tyres; perfect for riders who need a machine which can maintain long distances. It can manage multiple rider positions as well as unmatched power and weight figures. The Adventure R is a big bike with off-road capability, provided by its 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tyres. It also has longer travel suspension, great for those off-road adventures.

Both bikes feature 1195cc V-twin engines, along with a multi-level Bosch ABS system. There’s also motorcycle traction control on both models as standard. The 1190 Adventure model can also be created with the addition of an electronics package which provides multi-programmable WP suspension to adjust preload and comfort settings.

Both models feature increased tank capacity, taking it to 23 litres with twin-spark ignition system and an increased fuel efficiency of around 20%.

Created from a mix of high-tech materials and high-quality leathers, the boots are guaranteed to provide protection and flexibility no matter what the riding condition. Foot and calf protection is at a premium, with plastic reinforcement to the toe and ankle as well as a rigid anatomically shaped heel and replaceable shin plate. As far as size goes, the boots can be adjusted to fit all calf sizes with the easy-click buckle system.

The boots are available in white/white, black/black, white/orange, white/red, white/blue, red/white/blue, white/black/yellow, white/black, black/grey/yellow and white/grey/black and will set you back £359.99.

• WK VS50 and VS 125 (pictured) – These two scooters share a retro style fans are sure to love. The four-stroke engines of both models offer an economical, smooth and quiet ride, while the ‘Twist and Go’ transmissions provide easy handling. • WK Mii50 – Completely original and modern, the WK Mii50 is powered by the same four-stroke engine as the above models, but with exceptional fuel economy and running costs. Even better is its cost, setting you back £950. 

• WK GTR 300 - Ideal for both long commuting and short, everyday journeys, the WK GTR 300 offers a smooth rider, thanks to its 16 inch wheels and liquid-cooled 300cc four-stroke engine. Again, it has ‘Twist and Go’ transmission, so its easy to ride. This model will set you back a cool £2299. 

All models are covered by two years parts and labour warranty.

Manufactured in Europe, the cables are coated in polymide which minimises friction and extends wear life. They also come pre-oiled with a freeze and seize resistant compound for a smooth operation.

The bike comes with a fuel-injected, single overhead-cam twin which makes the most of long-stroke engine geometry to create long-end torque. The coupling-type crankshaft balancer eliminates excess vibrations and the cam chain provides smooth operation, while the in-chamber exhaust catalyst system cuts the bike’s emissions, making it more environmentally friendly than your average bike.
