Putoline Suzuki Winners at Metzeler Enduro Championship’s Opening Round

Tom Sager and Paul Edmondson, of the Putoline Suzuki racing team, made it to the top of the podiums yesterday; both riders were victors in a class at the beginning round of the Metzeler British Enduro Championship race that was ran at Thetford Forest.

In the E2 class, Tom Sagar rode to victory on an RMX450Z. This was the first time that the RMX450Z had been in a British championship race and due to a wreck in a test went down in the overall standings for the day.

Sager had a positive attitude about his day at the track. winning his class and coming in fifth place in the overall standings. In his comments about the day, he stated that he was extremely happy to win his class and that the bike was a joy to ride in spite of the wet conditions. In speaking of the crash that hurt his overall standings, Sager said he was not too disappointed, but thought that the day had shown their potential for the remainder of the season.

Sager’s fellow Putoline Suzuki rider, Paul Edmondson won the E1 on a RM-Z250, as he beat competitors that were a lot younger, and also finished in second place in the overall standings, finishing right behind David Knight who won in the E3 class

Final standings:

E1: First place was awarded to Paul Edmondson , second place to  Daryl Bolter, and Si Wakely came in third place.
E2: First was awarded to Tom Sagar, second place to Greg Evans, and Ashley Wood came in third place.
Overall Standings: First place was awarded to  David Knight, second  place to Paul Edmondson (Suzuki), and Daryl Bolter took third place.
