Michael Laverty, who finished in the 10th place and 6th place, and Alastair Seeley, who had a 12th and a 9th place finish at Thruxton, gave a valiant effort after suffering qualifying crashes and several minor problems in both racing contests, racking up solid points that enabled both of the Suzuki riders to maintain their top ten standings, with Seeley in fifth place and Laverty in tenth place in the top ten standings.
Michael Laverty gave a tremendous performance in the first race as he dealt with a serious rear tyre issue to finish in 10th place; in the second race Laverty came in 6th place that almost could have been a podium finish, as he lost out by 0.6 seconds at the flag.
Meanwhile, Alastair Seeley gambled with a set-up in the first race and he fought his way to a 12th place finish. In the second race though, he decided to go back to his qualifying set-up to walk away with a 9th place finish that keeps him alive in his quest for the championship.
