After being involved in the British Superbike Championship series for only two seasons, the Relentless by TAS Suzuki made their first top step in the class with racer Michael Laverty in the event held at Oulton Park.

The way that Laverty has totally taken over the field in the British Superbike class shows the progress that TAS racing has made so far this racing season with their GSX-R1000 Superbike. Both Michael Laverty and Alastair Seeley are currently in the top five in the standings, after TAS racing was not given much hope during the pre-season build up.
In the first race, Seeley looked like he was destined for his second BSB of the year, however, it was not to be; Seeley missed a gear on the last lap that permitted John Laverty to take his thunder, which left the Carrickfergus man to come in behind the Buildbase Kawasaki racer for a fourth place finish.
In the second race, Laverty went solo for a awesome win, while team-mate Alastair worked hard to come up from mid pack to gain ten extremely valuable points as he took a sixth place finish.
The top five winners for race number one of British Superbike Race at Oulton Park were; first place-Stuart Easton of Swan Honda, second place-Tommy Hill of Worx Crescent Suzuki, third place-John Laverty of Buildbase Kawasaki, fourth place-Alastair Seeley of Relentless Suzuki by TAS, fifth place-Michael Laverty of Relentless Suzuki by TAS.
