For motorcyclists who like to take long trips on their bikes, RAC has launched a new tool to make the trip planning process a little easier. RAC, a breakdown and insurance provider has come out with a new Route Planning widget this year. The new widget is for internet users who want to plot their course on the internet.

The Route Planning widget is simple to use and can be utilized on any website, in any blog post, or wherever html code can be implemented. After the widget is put in place and operational, any visitor to the site where the widget is implemented will be shown a map of the destination, as well as the ability to key in their postal code and get a route plan that shows the distance and how long a trip will take as well.
RAC produced the Route Planning widget with the aid of Multimap and Bing Maps technology. The widget costs nothing to use, and can easily be installed on sites of any design due to ability of the widget to be easily modified.
