A shocking blow for all- sad news of Finnish Enduro rider, Mika Ahola’s untimely death from injuries sustained during training.
Mika Ahola was the proud winner of five consecutive Enduro World Championships from 2007 to 2011. On no less than seven occasions, he won the prestigious International Six Days Enduro title as part of the Finnish Team- he also claimed an incredible three individual titles at the same event.
On January 1st, 37 year old Mika announced his retirement from racing, saying of his time in the game: “I gave it my all, and even though the sport took a lot, it also rewarded me with more than I could have ever imagined when I first started.”
In all, a very sad loss of such a great rider- his winning spirit will live on.
