Don’t miss Skeggy Beach Race this year. The ones who have attended the previous Skegness beach race know that it has been a great success, and this year is planned to be even a bigger one. The seats for Skeggness Beach Race for 2011 are almost fully booked but entries are still being taken for the event.
This year a tough track has some rather challenging sections, as extra beach is being used this time around. Beach racing Guru Rob Meek along with Rich Rose have been working on this year’s track.
This year the event is to take place on 12th and 13th of November with kids, youth and quads and sidecars running on Saturday. On Sunday you can watch the adult solo class. Due to so many of the riders enjoying last year’s Skeggy Beach Race the quad race this year will be 2 hours long.
Until 30th of April you can purchase tickets for kids and young class with £65 and the fees for quad and adult solo start at £80. Entry fees include hard standing car parks and free camping. The camping and parking will be seconds to the beach and main Skegness nightlife.
On offer for 2011 is £1,000 for first spot; money taken home by a happy Potisek who is returning to defend his crown in 2011. Paul Edmondson is confirmed to be looking to challenge the super-quick Potisek to the illustrious honours!
Preparations for the event are big with heavy earth moving plants being brought in this week for the course of some impressive jumps, waves, chicanes and of course the fast and natural straights.
Compared to last season, when 14,000 fans came to the event, this season is expected to attract even more.
Thebikeinsurer.co.uk encourages everybody to come and watch the event as it is completely free and a treat for all the family!
