Speed camera operator in ‘fixing speeds’ claim

Tuesday, March 25 2008

According to a police insider, a speed camera operator working inside a police speed camera van is being investigated for fixing speeds.

Apparently Kent Police have had to cancel over 150 charges of speeding against motorists after the officer was alleged to have fixed speed camera readings which made it look like innocent motorists were travelling faster than they actually were.

A Kent Police spokesperson was unavailable to comment at the time this story went to press.
