Suzuki 2012 Racing Options

Suzuki’s Racing Director, three-time champion of British Superbike, John Reynolds, has announced the Suzuki GB 2012 racing programme. The revised racing programme offers three options to racers, with packages available to suit almost any budget.

As in previous years, the first option will allow race licence holders to purchase genuine Suzuki parts at subsidised rates. The second option- racers can purchase a standard GSX-R600, 750 or 1000, at a reduced rate and also receive the benefit of the subsidised rates on parts.

Then comes the third option, new for 2012. This gives racers a brand-new GSX-R, which is hand-built by the TAS Suzuki British Superbike team and meets the required technical specifications and regulations of 600cc Superstock, 600cc Supersport, 1000cc Superstock or British Superbike classes.

Reynolds explained the new option further: “We’ve run the racing programme for several years and it’s been a success. However, feedback has shown that there is a requirement for more than just standard machines at reduced rates, and so with this three-tiered approach, our racing programme can really appeal to all levels of racer.

“While the subsidised cost of parts in option one is available to anyone holding a current and valid ACU licence, we can now offer a full service for the club racer that benefits from a reduced priced bike to get onto the grid, through to the privateer team that needs a cost effective way to enter Supersport, Superstock or even Superbike.”
