The ManTTx Racing team is founded on the Isle of Man, with David Craine as team leader; the team also consists of Keith McCay, Phil Wall, Andrew Cowie, Joe O’Hanlon, and Sean Mulvay.
The team bike uses incorporates a Ducati spaceframe chassis and is powered by a dual motor system with a keyed output shaft. It is powered by a one to one belt system with a primary drive.
At present time, the team is involved in driveability tests at their shop located at Ramsey Shipyard and have been conducting dynamometer tests. Last weekend they done some tests at the Jurby Circuit and were happy with the performance of the bike; they also garnered a lot of helpful data to help make future improvements.
The team had a problem in the 2009 race with the motor brushes breaking and damaging the remaining right hand side of the motor; this forced the bike out of the race due to short circuits overheating the motor. Looking forward, the team believes that they have this problem taken care of and are planning on racing again in 2010.
