Team Yoshimura Confirms World Superbike Participation

Yoshimura, in a Team Suzuki press release, has confirmed that they will be competing in three of the World Superbike Championship rounds for the 2010-racing season. The Yoshimura Team will be entering the racing series by the means of a wild-card entry this season.

Yoshimura, a Japanese aftermarket manufacturer of motorcycle parts will enter the competition on a Suzuki GSX-R1000 that is kitted with Yoshimura components. The Yoshimura team will race at the following races of the World Superbike Championships, round four at Assen Netherlands on the 25th day of April, round 12 at Imola, Italy on the 26th day of September, and the last round held at Magny-Cours, France, which will be on the 3rd day of October.

Yukio Kagayama, long-time World Superbike racer for Suzuki, is slated to race for Yoshimura at the race in Assen, and in Magny-Cours as well, while Yoshimura’s own team racer, Daisaka will be on the track in the competition that is scheduled at Imola. In addition to racing for Yoshimura, Kagayama will also be competing in the British Superbike Championship this season as well.

Team Yoshimura will also participate in the Suzuki Eight Hour World Endurance Race that will be held in Japan on the 25th day of July, Kagayama and Sakai will have with them Nobuatso Aoki, who functions as Suzuki’s MotoGp test and development rider.
