After three spectacular practice days, and a good qualifying session that landed Hill on the first row in the number two position, Tommy Hill took the win in the first race and placed second in the second race in the opening round of the British Superbike Championship that took place at Brands Hatch on April 5.

After his first place and second place finish at Brands Hatch, Tommy Hill of Worx Crescent Suzuki, is the leading racer in the British Superbike Championship.
During the qualifying round on Sunday, Hill qualified as the second fastest racer and he capitalized on his front row starting position to win the first race of the day on Monday. Hill followed closely on rival Ryuichi Kiyonari’s heels before passing him and taking first place at the finish line. In the second race he followed close behind James Ellison, however, due to the speedy pace and the problems with passing on the tight track, Hill chose to go with a safe second place to insure the lead in the championship.
Commenting on the win, Tommy Hill stated that after all the labour done by the team during the winter and prior to this race this weekend, it was a great thing to win the first race. Hill said that his bike had done consistently well all weekend and that he was able to be behind Kiyo and formulate a race strategy.
