Try out the Leatt ST Road neck brace

Wednesday, May 23 2012

So far, Leatt has been on the motorcycle accessories scene for less than ten years, but in that short time they have managed to build themselves quite a reputation for quality. Their latest offering comes in the form of the STX Road, a neck brace suitable for road riding (before now, the braces have focused on off road riders).

The main purpose of the neck brace is to prevent extreme movements in the neck when riding. Injury to the head and neck caused by sudden and intense movement can manifest itself in dangerous and life-threatening ways including serious injury, paralysis or even death, so the brace really is a life saver! Not only does the STX Road prevent this extreme movement, its also dissipates force throughout the shoulders and upper body meaning less, if any, damage is caused to the rider.

The STX Road has been designed to fit over almost every riding suit, including those with humps and leather or textile jackets. It also works with the majority of full-face helmets including flip-front models. It can be split into two halves with its specialist red tabs and its rear wings fold in for easy storage. The STX Road currently retails for £349.99 and can be purchased from Leatt’s website.
