James Westmoreland and Jon Kirkham (pictured) have announced they are to compete with Buildbase BMW during the 2013 British Superbike Championship . The two riders will be hoping their move signals a change in fortunes, especially since this year saw them both come up against less than favourable issues. James parted ways with old team WFR Honda, while Jon suffered an eye-injury which hampered his season. As can be expected, the duo were elated to be starting with a new team. James said;
‘I’m really pleased to be a part of the Buildbase BMW team. I’ve known them for a number of years and now is the correct time to work together. I believe we can put together a strong campaign.’ Jon added;
‘I’m glad to be able to announce that I’ll be with the Buildbase BMW team in 2013 and I’m really excited. I’m looking forward to being back on a BMW after winning the Superstock Championship on the S1000RR in 2010.’
