Starting on Easter weekend, from April 2nd through April 5th, the British Superbike Championship opens at Brands Hatch. The opening round of the BSB will take at the Indy circuit at Brands Hatch, with an additional day of practice added onto the practice schedule so that the racing teams will have ample opportunity to get prepared for the Roll for Pole qualifying session that will be on the afternoon of Easter Sunday. As the Worx Suzuki team moves forward into the British Superbike Championship they feel confident that they have worked out some minor problems that they had with a new electronic system during their testing in Spain, now they say that they are 100 per cent go.
The Worx Crescent Suzuki team is quite a bit bigger than it was last year, it is now a two-racer team. Having two riders means that they have two technical teams, however, with the new rule for the championship (one bike per racer), the amount of hardware will basically stay the same.
The Worx Suzuki team riders have been very busy during this time. Tommy Hill has been very popular among the media, being in high demand for interviews. Hill is the local person for the Brands Hatch racing event, so he not only a representative for Suzuki but the championship as well. Hill’s team-mate, Yukio Kagayama, has been busy getting his family settled into a new dwelling place in the western part of London.
The Brands Hatch event will begin on Thursday, the second with the teams getting set up and beginning their first practice sets. The Easter Monday programme will start at 10:55 am.
