The legendary Yamaha Classic Racing Team is to bow out after almost a decade of competing. Team founder, Ferry Brouwer announced that the Team’s final appearance will be at the inaugural Isle of Man Classic TT Race on the 23rd-26th August.
Over the years, the team has entertained thousands of fans with its modern and historical machines, including the 125cc RA31A and the 250cc RD05A works machines of 1968 and the 750 two-stroke and 1979 GP500 championship winning YZR500. Living racing legends who have been a part of the team over the years, include Giacomo Agostini, Phil Read, Rodney Gould and Steve Baker, to name but a few.
Those who wish to see the Yamaha Classic Racing Team for one final time can do just that at various events throughout the year, with the culmination and farewell at the Classic TT on the 23rd-26th August.
