Yukio Kagayama will have to Sit-Out British Superbike Round at Cadwell Park

Sunday, May 23 2010

Yukio Kagayama, one of the Worx Crescent Suzuki’s Team riders will have to sit out the fourth round of British Superbike series that will be held at Cadwell Park located in Lincolnshire over the weekend. The Worx Crescent Suzuki regrets to announce Yukio’s absence from the race due to an injury that he received from a wreck that happened at Oulton Park last month.

Following the crash, doctor’s attending to Yukio’s injury said that he had a fracture to his T5 vertebrae, an injury that would require several weeks of rest for the Suzuki racer. Yukio went on to have a private examination at London Bridge Hospital and was told that he should delay getting back out on the track after the hospital discovered that the fracture had not mended enough for Yukio to take the risk of racing just yet.

Team manager, Jack Valentine expressed his disappointment in Yukio having to delay his return to the track, but acknowledged that it was important not to take a risk on a long-term injury. Valentine also commented that Yukio should be fully recovered in time for Mallory next month and confirmed that there would not be a replacement racer this weekend, which means that Tommy will be racing solo for the Worx Crescent Suzuki Team.

All of the Worx Crescent Suzuki Team are wishing Yukio a fast recovery and are looking forward to seeing him back on the track at Mallory Park.
