Why choose the Honda VFR 750 F?

The Honda VFR 750 F will get anyone who’s owned it a little nostalgic and a little excited when they start talking about it – as you can see from our real owner reviews here.

When it was first revealed in 1995, it took the market by storm and it’s widely regarded as one of the best road bikes ever made.

Despite its age, the VFR continues to be an aspirational model and has almost transferred its way into the realms of a classic.

Either way, it’s still supremely popular among riders in the UK which becomes obvious in the owner reviews here.

The fact that I've had this VFR for 16 years out of its 25 year life, should tell you I love it.
Its done 90,000 miles and has more to go.
It feels as if all it needs is petrol, oil, tyres, but over 16 years I've replaced the reg/rectifier about 4 times and the the rear shock once. The original exhaust rotted out and now the bike has a stainless steel unit.
Its a well balanced, easy to ride, swift and comfortable bike, the handling inspires confidence.
Both the bike and I are getting on, I suspect I will give up first!

This August she'll be 25 and have clocked over 44,000 miles.
Apart from the usual issue of voltage regulator packing in (which lead to much panic with fumes and then (small) flames issuing from unit) the bike has proved to be nothing but reliable.
The bike is obviously a toy so fuel consumption hasn't been high on my list of priorities but hasn't seemed particularly excessive.
As for tyres, I'm about to replace Michelin Pilot 3's with the same after covering over 10,000 miles. I have great respect for these tyres; they warm up quickley and are really good in the wet.
Although I don't teararse around on the bike neither do I nurse the it.
|I would not hesitate to buy another!
